HOME HEALTH AIDE SERVICES
Our Home Health Aides are available to help with every patient's personal care and hygiene needs to provide light homemaking services.
NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING
Our Nutritional Specialists will assess and analyze the various health needs of each patient in regard to diet and exercise. Nutritional counselors can help set achievable health goals and can teach various ways of maintaining good habits throughout the patient's life.
PEDIATRIC SPECIFIC SKILLED NURSING SERVICES
Innovative, safe, and compassionate Pediatric Specific Skilled Nursing Services are available for patients ranging in age from newborn up to 21 years old. Every member of our Pediatric Nursing Staff undergoes extensive testing, training and orientation and will work closely with the child's primary nurse and parents before providing service. Pediatric Nursing Staff members must also pass a background and reference check, as well as the IHHCI pediatric exam before employment. At Independence Home Healthcare, your child comes first!

PSYCHIATRIC NURSING
Our Psychiatric Nurses are trained in behavioral therapy and can teach patients and their loved ones how to deal with the challenges that may come with certain psychiatric disorders.
SKILLED NURSING SERVICES
Nurses combine the science of nursing with the art of caring.
Our nurses are qualified in providing patients with the following services:

• Wound Care • HIV Services • Injections
• Enteral Feedings • Foley Catheter Care
• Ostomy Care and Instructions
• Glucose Monitoring • Post Surgical Care
• Care for Chronic Medical Conditions
• Intravenous Treatments (TNP, Antibiotics, Pain Management, Hydration, etc.)
• Terminal Care (For those who are ineligible or choose not to elect for hospice care)
SOCIAL SERVICES
Our Medical Social Workers help our patients and their families cope with the personal and emotional impact of illness and disability. The social worker will also help locate financial resources and community assistance, such as home meal delivery and support groups.
THERAPY SERVICES
Special therapy services are available for patients requiring rehabilitative care.
Physical Therapists
Physical Therapists provide physician-prescribed treatment aimed at the development and restoration of muscle and joint function.
Occupational Therapists
Occupational Therapists help patients regain the skills necessary for self-care and daily activities.
Speech Therapists
Speech Therapists assist patients with impaired communication skills to regain those skills or to learn alternative ways to express their needs and feelings.
Music Therapy
Music has been successful as a therapeutic intervention for children with disabilities. It has been used with people of all ages, from preschool to late adulthood, and to help treat a diverse range of disabilities, whether congentical or adventitious. Music therapy can play an important role in developing, maintaining, and restoring physical function.
Enterostomal Consultants
Enterostomal Consultants assist patients in caring for their ostomies and open wounds in order to restore and maintain their full level of functionality.
